Annemarie Dillard & Ante Jazic wedding published in The Knot!

I had the honor and privilege to photograph the wedding of Annemarie Dillard and Ante Jazic at the Ojai Valley Inn with Stephen Karlisch. I have so many positive memories about photographing Annmarie and her family and Ante and his family. Everyone was so warm and happy and super down to earth. It was truly a beautiful outdoor ceremony amdist the giant oak tress. After a mellow cocktail hour, a  kickin' party ensued, attended by extremely stylish ladies as well as Ante's dapper, yet slightly ruckus Chivas USA teammates. There were so many beautiful details to photograph including Annemarie's beautiful Vera Wang gown of organza and Chantilly lace. The strapless gown was fitted through the bodice and waist and the skirt was embellished with cascading layers of organza, lace and fabric blossoms. Her shoes were custom made and monogrammed for Annemarie by the fabulous Vince Camuto. The sugar magnolia decorated cake by La Starr & Co. was a stunning as well. I've never seen any cake like it. I think it was taller than me!

Working with Stephen who is such a talented veteran photographer, was such a joy. He gave me freedom to do my thing and we worked really well together as a team. I'm so grateful that he has shared credit with me on this wedding. In addition to shooting my own work, I often shoot with other amazing photographers in which my work has been published under their studio name. (It is pretty standard and reasonable considering their portfolios brought in the clients and they are handling the work flow. It is the same with most of my co- shooters as well)  Often I  have signed non disclosure agreements about the high profile or celebrity projects I've co- photographed, so it really is a treat to be published with credits in a prestigious wedding magazine like The Knot with Stephen's blessing. I can't emphasize that and thank him enough.

On a side note: It's funny how serendipitous connecting with Stephen was. In flipping though a wedding magazine some time ago, I tore out a very sweet romantic image of a couple kissing at the dinner table. I loved the light, the color, the tenderness of the moment and the they way the unexpected, unpretentious sneakers dangled from the chair.I had this image on my office wall for such a long time and had forgotten who had photographed it after tearing it away from the credits. Years later from the very kind referral of  Karen McHugh, who is the Hollywood Samy's Camera Go To Girl!, I find myself shooting along side this very kind hearted, charming, talented Texas based photographer.
